MAPPING YOUTH FUTURES

DOING RESEARCH WITHIN COVID-19

We started this project a few months before the pandemic that is disrupting the everyday experiences of people all over the world. Should we reframe our research to capture the spirit of the times? To what extent are youth futures being redefined by the covid-19 pandemic? What is it, in substance, that reconfigures our research objectives, and how can we activate the most appropriate reflexive approach? Thus far, as a research group we have started to explore ways of continuing our research, trusting that sociological tools will enable us to capture the possibly of profound resignification of categories of futurity and temporality emerging in this situation.
